Corpcam.com recognises that privacy is important when using the Web for communications. This policy explains how Corpcam.com collects, stores, uses and shares personal information and information about your visits to the website, including the pages you view, the links you click and other actions taken in connection with any website with the Corpcam.com products and services which are owned by Corpcam.com (Pty) Ltd. Personal information is information from which you can be personally identified such as your name, address, email address and/or telephone number. It is important that you read and understand this Privacy Policy (“Policy”).

Information Collected

Cookies

In common with standard industry practice, Corpcam.com uses cookies to track site usage. A cookie is a small text file containing a unique identification number that is placed on the hard disk of your computer by a Web page server, enabling the Web server to identify your web browser and passively track its activities on that website. A cookie does not reveal any personally identifiable information that you have not otherwise disclosed. Web Beacons

Web beacons, sometimes called single-pixel GIFs, are small electronic image files that we may place on Corpcam.com or Corpcam.com.com Web pages. Combined with cookies, Web beacons allow us to count the number of unique users who have visited a specific page and the number of times those pages are displayed. Information we may collect using Web beacons will be in aggregate form only and will not contain your personal information. We do not allow Web beacons on our websites to be used by third parties to collect or access your personal information.

Log Information

When you use Corpcam.com Products or Services, our servers record, in a server log, information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website. Server logs may include information such as you web request, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser.

User Communications

When you send email or other communication to Corpcam.com, we may retain those communications in order to process your enquiries, respond to your requests and to improve our services.

Corpcam.com’s Use of Information

Corpcam.com collects and uses your personal and activity information, as described above, to operate and improve its. These uses may include making our services easier to use by eliminating the need for you to enter the same information repeatedly, for research and analysis to improve our services and technologies, to contact you in connection with your enquiries, surveys and to provide reporting to clients of Corpcam.com Products and Services.

Sharing of Information

Corpcam.com does not share or sell personal information about you with third parties or non-affiliated companies except to provide the products or services you have requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:

  1. When you subscribe to a Corpcam.com Product, Service or a specific Event, Corpcam.com may share your personal information with that Event Host or Event Sponsor (for the purposes of this Policy, “Event” means an online seminar/presentation that is broadcast live through Corpcam.com’s Products or Services and also available for later on-demand viewing and “Event Sponsor” means someone who sponsors an Event in exchange for brand promotion and thought leadership opportunities where applicable) as well as details of the Content you have viewed on that Event and viewing times. The Event Host or Event Sponsor may contact you for such purposes as replying to your queries, improving their services, conducting surveys, to deliver promotional material to you. Event Hosts and Event Sponsors receiving personal information from Corpcam.com do not have any independent right to share this information. In subscribing Corpcam.com product or Service or attending an Event you agree that your personal and other information may be shared with the Event Host or Event Sponsor and we encourage you to review the Event Host’s or Event Sponsor’s own Privacy Policy to ensure you are satisfied with the provisions. Except as previously stated, Corpcam.com does not control the activities of Event Host’s and Event Sponsors in the control and protection of personal information.
  2. We believe that it is necessary to disclose such information to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable government request, to enforce our General User Agreement and investigate violations thereof, to prevent, detect and address fraud, security or technical issues, or to protect against harm to the rights and property of Corpcam.com and its users as required or permitted by law.
  3. We may transfer your personal information if Corpcam.com is acquired by or merged with another company. We will provide notice before this occurs and will post a new Privacy Policy if necessary.
  4. Sharing your personal information in the circumstances described above may involve your personal information being transferred outside your country and in accepting this Policy you consent to any such transfer.

Security

To secure your personal information, access to your data is password protected, and sensitive information is protected by encryption when it is exchanged between your Web browser and our website. To protect data stored on our servers, we regularly audit our system for possible vulnerabilities and attacks and we use only secured access data centres.

Whilst we will implement the security measures detailed above, transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure and therefore transmission via the internet is at your own risk.
